ClickUp for Engineering Teams

How One Engineer Turned 'Read the Spec' Into a One-Click Job

Industry: Technology — software engineering & consulting | Employees : 11–50 | Use case: AI-assisted QA and test documentation inside a unified engineering workspace

A Brazilian software consultancy moved its QA work into ClickUp and put ClickUp Brain and a self-built Super Agent to work reading live specs. Now one QA engineer turns dense requirements into full test suites in under a minute instead of spending three to four hours a week writing them by hand.

I built a Super Agent in fifteen minutes that does what used to take me half a day every week.

It reads the spec, writes the test cases, and flags things I wouldn't have thought to check. That's not a shortcut, that's a better process."

Brenno Kevyn, QA Engineer, Dunnas Tecnologia e Consultoria

AT A GLANCE

How Brenno stopped starting from scratch

QA at Dunnas used to begin with a blank page and a stack of requirements. Now it begins with a draft. ClickUp Brain and a Super Agent called QA Spec & Test Builder read the team's real Docs and Tasks and return decision-ready test coverage in under a minute, so validation guides are ready the moment development finishes and edge cases surface in review instead of in production.

Before ClickUp : The line-by-line spec read

Until recently, every release started the same way. Brenno chased requirements across long PRDs, feature specs, and scattered task comments, reading each one line by line to build test scenarios from scratch. It was careful, capable work, and it held the quality bar, but it swallowed three to four hours a week before any testing began. As Dunnas took on more projects, that manual first read became the thing standing between finished code and verified code.

After ClickUp : Brain reads the spec, the agent writes the tests

Now the first read is automated. Brenno points QA Spec & Test Builder at a spec in ClickUp and ClickUp Brain returns structured test scenarios, edge cases, and validation guides in under a minute, directly inside the tasks and docs his team already uses.

There's no copying specs into outside tools and no context switching. During a recent login release the agent flagged expired-token and missing-redirect cases he hadn't considered, catching in review what would otherwise have reached production. QA now finishes when development does.

Off-Script with ClickUp

Q: What's the most surprisingly useful thing ClickUp Brain or a Super Agent has done for your team?

A: "The moment it analyzed a raw requirements doc and automatically formatted a complete, decision-ready QA checklist directly linked to our sprint tasks, without needing any extra prompting or cleanup."
