Sr. Technical Support Engineer Manager

We are looking for a leader who is product-focused, independent, and excited about having a huge impact at ClickUp. You will collaborate with key technical leaders in defining and realizing the North Star goals of the company as a whole.

You will be responsible for building, scaling, and growing ClickUp's Technical Support Engineering team. Your team will be leading the charge in handling the escalation of bugs and contributing to the growth and success of ClickUp.

The Role:
  • - Collaborate with Engineering teams and leaders on pain points across the org and areas for improvements, making adjustments to the priorities of the team in response
  • - Define and create an updated Technical Support engineering training curriculum
  • - Act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise
  • - Manage the day-to-day support business within your team ensuring operational standards and good practice are applied.
  • - Act as a Sr. Technical Support Engineer Manager where applicable and ensure a positive customer support experience
Qualifications:
  • - 5+ years of Technical Support management or leadership experience
  • - Strong technical background - you should be able to understand moderate troubleshooting steps, know what the difference between the Frontend and Backend are, and be able to quickly identify a severity of a bug so it gets properly triaged
  • - Experience as a technical leader for a business-critical system
  • - A focus on software engineering best practices such as testing, static analysis, continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
  • - The desire to seek out the toughest technology and engineering problems and partner with engineering to solve them with little or no oversight
  • - Willingness to learn and use new technologies and touch any system to accomplish your goals
  • - Extremely data-driven. You instrument and analyze everything about your systems and team
  • - Enthusiastic cross-functional partner and great communicator who can express themselves in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner
  • - Excellent hiring skills - ability to source, hire, and build out the Escalation Engineer team
  • - Helpdesk & CRM software experience
  • - Experience with project management software and other productivity tools, to understand the pain points of our customers (ClickUp is a huge plus!)
  • - You LOVE work as much as we do and are able to dedicate yourself to the success of this department
  • - Proven ability to manage complex conditions and drive accountability at all levels
