Our site has a global audience and gets millions of organic visits per month. We publish exciting and engaging articlesโ€”regularly covering a wide variety of topics from project management, to time management, to work-life, and more!

We’re looking to collaborate with in-house teams of reputable brands and are open to long-term content partnerships.

Approved guest posts will be posted on our blog page, potentially featured in our blog newsletter, and shared across our social platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).

Basic guidelines

Before filling out our Guest Post Request Form, please review our guidelines and qualifiers to ensure we’re in alignment. Our alignment will increase your chances of getting accepted as a guest blogger. ๐Ÿค

Here are a few examples that meets our guidelines and brand tone:

Guest blog contributor qualifiers

  • Writers from in-house teams
  • Represents a reputable and relevant brand
  • Expert in your field with exceptional writing skills and a creative mindset
  • Bonus: Professionals with certifications related to the proposed blog topic

To do so, let’s talk about basic guest blogging guidelines:

  • Concepts that are original and persuasive, as well as high-quality writing
  • All content must be original; republished articles and plagiarized copy will NOT be accepted
  • The article must reflect ClickUp’s brand voice and writing style:

โœ… Conversational: Write like you’re having a friendly convo, and use pronouns I, we, address readers as You ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ˜Š

โœ… Easy to understand: Get straight to the point, especially in the introduction โšก๏ธ

SEO qualifiers

  • Please choose a topic not previously covered by ClickUp’s blog
  • Word count of at least 2,000+
  • Link to 3-5 ClickUp pages (blogs, landing pages, etc.) in your article
  • Limit to 5 external links; this includes your company’s website links
  • Do NOT link to ClickUp competitors
  • Link to all primary sources for data or claims

Submit your guest blog proposal using our Guest Blog Request Form. Our Editorial and SEO team will review your submission in the order it’s received and inform you about the next steps if your proposal fits our strategy. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Note: All requests are not guaranteed. Because of the volume of requests, we cannot guarantee a response for every submission. Our team will review your submission in the order they were received, and a follow-up email will be sent to you if we believe we can make magic together.โœจ

Step 2: Submit a detailed blog outline

If your guest blog proposal is a good fit for our blog page, the next step is to submit a detailed blog outline. Our team will reach out to you via email!

Ready to create your outline? Here’s what you need to know about formatting:

H2 Engaging Introduction:

  • Brief 1-2 sentences
  • We like it short and snappy! Show value upfront and pull the reader into the next paragraph!

H2 Strong Conclusion

Have fun and be creative with the conclusion header. Re-iterate the main ideas and bring it all home! What should the reader do next? Give them a clear call to action!

*This is just an example — use as many H2s and H3s as needed, but there should always be a compelling introduction and strong conclusion

Step 3: Begin drafting!

Our Editorial and SEO team will review your blog outline to ensure the content fits our strategy and brand voice.

Once cleared, our team will contact you via email to inform you that it’s clear to start drafting your guest blog! ๐ŸŽ‰

You’ll have a maximum of two weeks to write the first draft, and once it’s ready, please submit it within the email thread for review.

Writing structure and formatting guidelines

Please use this section as a checklist (our most updated guidelines can be found here) before sending your draft to our editorial team. Following the guidelines will help reduce the turnaround time and increase the likelihood of your request being approved!

  • The article has the appropriate header structure
    • Main ideas should always be broken up by keyword-driven H2s and H3s
    • Make clear transitions from one major point to the nextโ€”how do they relate?
    • The article’s main idea should always be clear and re-iterated throughout the article; the reader should always know what the article’s main idea is
  • The introduction should be short, engaging, and show why this topic is timely or relevant to our audience
    • Examples
      • Pose a question โ“
      • Say something funny ๐Ÿ˜†
      • Drop a big statement ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
      • Introduce an eye-opening statistic or figure ๐Ÿ“ˆ ๐Ÿค”
  • Link to at least three topic-relevant pages from clickup.com/blog or clickup.com/features
  • Limit external links to five links total in the body paragraphs
  • Word count of 2,000+
  • The voice of the article matches ClickUp’s brand voice (link jump back to Writing Qualifiers)
  • Use numbered lists and bullet points wherever possible to break up the writing and make it easier for the reader to understand key steps
    • Bulleted sentences don’t end with periods (just like this sentence)
  • Write out numbers ten and under in the body paragraphs (excluding headlines and meta descriptions)
  • Use contractions whenever possible (ex: I am โ†’ I’m)
  • Emojis should be placed at the end of the sentence and after punctuation
  • Always include data, examples, images, and quotes if possible to break up text and allow for white space for readability (GIFS are welcome too!)
    • Provide 2-3 images and examples/screenshots/GIFs (avoid stock photos whenever possible)
    • Include source links for GIFs and other images and videos used in the article (Source: Link)
    • Click here for ClickUp brand assets such as logo and screenshots
  • Bold main takeaway sentence for each header (if the reader were scanning, what is the most important sentence they should not miss?)
  • Include a strong conclusion that sums up the articleโ€™s main points and leaves the reader with a clear call to action
    • Never leave the end on a “so what?” note — make the next step clear on how they should apply your story to their life! โœ…
    • Please be creative and have fun with the conclusion header (avoid naming it Conclusion ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Step 4: Editing your post

Our team will review your article, share feedback, and request edits when necessary, and will allow a max of 2 rounds for editing.

Draft 1:Your first draft should be well-researched, polished, follow the guidelines, and have proper grammar.

Draft 2:Your second draft should have incorporated the feedback. If your blog draft is approved, our team will contact you via email to inform you about the next steps.
