Plus AI

Plus AI is an AI presentation assistant that works inside PowerPoint and Google Slides rather than as a standalone platform. Its central advantage is format fidelity. Because Plus AI generates inside the host application or through a native PPTX API, the output is a real PowerPoint or Google Slides file with no export conversion step. This solves the single most common complaint about web-native tools like Gamma.

Plus AI Pricing (2026)

Plan Price (annual) Price (monthly) What's included
Basic $10/user/month $15/user/month AI generation in Slides and PowerPoint, standard templates, basic editing
Pro $20/user/month $25/user/month Everything in Basic plus PDF/DOCX/TXT uploads (up to 10 reference files), AI image generation, custom instructions
Team $30/user/month $40/user/month Everything in Pro plus custom branding, shared templates, team management, advanced image models
Max $200/user/month $240/user/month Everything in Team plus enterprise custom templates, slide masters, CRM/ERP API integration, priority support
Trial 7 days 1,000 AI credits, credit card required

There is no ongoing free plan. The 7-day trial requires payment details upfront.

The Max tier at $200/user/month is unusually expensive per seat, positioned for enterprises that need programmatic generation from CRM/ERP data at scale rather than individual productivity.

How Plus AI Works

Inside Google Slides

Plus AI installs as a Google Workspace add-on. From the Extensions menu, you access the Plus AI panel. Generation happens in a sidebar; slides appear directly in your Google Slides deck as native, fully editable slides.

Inside PowerPoint

Plus AI installs as a PowerPoint add-in (Microsoft AppSource). The experience is similar: a task pane where you prompt, and native PowerPoint slides are inserted into your deck.

Are the experiences identical?

Mostly, but not entirely. The Google Slides version has been in market longer and has slightly more mature features. The PowerPoint version benefits from PowerPoint's more sophisticated layout engine. Both produce genuinely native files.

Web app

Plus AI also offers a browser-based generation flow that produces a downloadable PPTX. This is useful for users who want to generate before opening their editor.

AI Capabilities

Generation

Prompt to full deck or single slide. The system produces an outline first, which you can review and edit before generating slides. Supports custom instructions that persist across generations, so you can encode your team's style preferences.

Reference files

Pro and above support uploading PDF, DOCX, and TXT files as context, up to 10 reference files. The AI reads these and grounds the generated content in the source material. This is Plus AI's answer to the context problem, though it requires you to manually assemble and upload the relevant files each time.

Rewrite and remix

Plus AI can transform existing slides:

  • Rewrite: change tone, length, or phrasing while preserving meaning
  • Remix: restructure a slide's layout (paragraph to columns, list to grid, text to visual)
  • Reformat: apply a different layout to existing content
  • Translate: convert slides to another language
  • Elaborate: expand a bullet into full content
  • Summarize: condense a dense slide

These work on decks you already have, not just newly generated ones. This is genuinely differentiated: most AI slide tools only generate new content.

Custom instructions and presets

You can save prompts, style guidelines, and formatting rules as presets. For teams producing similar decks repeatedly (weekly reports, client updates), this reduces prompt engineering to a single click.

AI image generation

Available on Pro and above. Team and Max add advanced image models.

Enterprise Features

API and CRM/ERP integration

Plus AI's API is documented for programmatic deck generation. The stated use cases include:

  • Generating customized sales decks from CRM opportunity data
  • Producing client reports from ERP or data warehouse queries
  • Automated QBR generation from analytics platforms
  • Bulk personalization of pitch materials

This is Plus AI's most differentiated enterprise capability. If your organization needs to generate hundreds of personalized decks from structured data, Plus AI's native PPTX API is one of the few options.

Custom templates and slide masters

Team and Max tiers support uploading your organization's PowerPoint template and slide masters. Generated content applies your actual corporate design system rather than a generic template.

Team management

Shared templates, presets, and brand settings across the team. Admin controls for template governance.

Limitations to Know Before Committing

  1. It's an add-in, not a workspace. Plus AI enhances a slide editor. It does not know your projects, tasks, or team context. Every deck's substance comes from what you type or upload.

  2. No free plan. The 7-day trial requires a card. At $10-30 per seat per month, a team pays meaningfully for a feature layer on top of tools they already license.

  3. Host app dependency. You need PowerPoint or Google Slides. Plus AI is not a standalone destination, which is fine if your organization already standardizes on one, and a blocker if it doesn't.

  4. Manual context transfer. To build a project status deck, you export data from your project tool, paste it into a prompt or upload it as a reference file, then generate. The connection is manual every time. Ten reference files is a hard cap.

  5. No project management, Docs, or communication. Slides live in one tool, tasks in another, documents in a third. Plus AI does not reduce tool count; it adds one.

  6. Reference file limits. Ten files maximum, and the extraction quality varies by document complexity. Heavily formatted PDFs and tables sometimes lose structure.

  7. Max tier pricing is steep. At $200/user/month, the enterprise tier costs more than most full productivity suites. Justified only if the API integration is the core use case.

ClickUp Brain: Generate from the Source, Not the Slide Editor

Plus AI improves the last step of the deck-building process. ClickUp Brain removes several earlier steps by generating from the work itself.

The workflow comparison

With Plus AI:

  1. Open your project management tool
  2. Find the relevant tasks, statuses, and milestones
  3. Copy or export the data
  4. Open PowerPoint or Google Slides
  5. Open the Plus AI panel
  6. Paste the data into a prompt or upload as a reference file
  7. Generate
  8. Review and edit

With ClickUp Brain:

  1. Ask Brain for the deck
  2. Review and refine

The difference is not generation quality; both produce reasonable output. The difference is that steps 1-6 disappear when the AI already has access to the source data.

Where Plus AI still wins clearly

  • You need a native, editable .pptx or Google Slides file
  • Your organization mandates PowerPoint as the delivery format
  • You need to remix and reformat existing decks (ClickUp cannot edit existing files)
  • You need slide-level drag-and-drop editing
  • You need programmatic generation from CRM/ERP data via API
  • You need your corporate slide master applied automatically
