A template only takes you so far…
A template cannot update itself with new data, pivot when your processes change, or spot missing or wrong information. It then inherently falls on you to constantly maintain its accuracy. Forever.
Each template is a general starting point and has to be altered each time it is actually used; what acts as a time-saver ends up being something that you have to rebuild every time.
A template is only as up-to-date as your most recent edit; if you skip a week it goes from being the source of truth to being an educated guess.
One template is designated as “final_v3” and then each person and each project gets their own fork. At this point no one knows which one is the actual one.
That upkeep used to be the cost of doing the work. Now it isn’t.
Agents see the full picture: what’s changed, what’s moved, what needs your input. They pick up new information on their own, hand work off to each other, and only pull you in when the call is genuinely yours.
A template holds your work. AI agents run it end to end.
