    Let’s\u00a0make a\u00a0prediction on\u00a0the time and money\u00a0it’ll take to complete a\u00a0hypothetical<\/em> project. First, we NEED\u00a0data on the\u00a0previous project. How many tasks were completed? How many team members were involved? Ok great, but to really understand how things went, we must know the time it took to get sh*t done.\u00a0When we know detail on the time it took to complete previous projects with accuracy, we can\u00a0create proportionally-sound estimates on our new projects, revealing the estimated time and money it will take to deliver.<\/p>\n

    Time Tracking within ClickUp<\/h2>\n

    To enable time tracking<\/a>, first make sure the\u00a0Time Tracking\u00a0<\/i>ClickApp<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>is enabled for your\u00a0Space. When properly\u00a0enabled, you’ll see the stopwatch icon in the heading of each task above the task’s activity feed.<\/p>\n

    Clicking that icon allows you to add time to the Task. Choose whether to add a block of time, or specify the starting and ending time of your work on this task. All time added is compartmentalized\u00a0as\u00a0individual batches allowing you\u00a0to see who else worked on the\u00a0task, when, and for how long.<\/p>\n

    Checking the time spent\u00a0is a\u00a0task takes two clicks. Simply drop\u00a0the time tracking menu down\u00a0and expand each user’s section to reveal\u00a0who has put in the most time on the task.<\/p>\n

    Why Integrate with Harvest<\/h2>\n

    No\u00a0more watching the clock! Harvest<\/a>\u00a0takes the guesswork out of\u00a0time tracking.\u00a0This also means no more\u00a0switching between two apps as you work.<\/p>\n

    With the timer built right into the top of every\u00a0task in ClickUp, you can start and stop time where you please!

    To\u00a0get started<\/a>, make sure your\u00a0time tracking ClickApp is enabled. Next, visit\u00a0your Time Tracking settings page. To automatically sync time in ClickUp, you’ll need to authorize ClickUp to use Harvest. Click “Sync Harvest” in the Time Tracking settings page. When you are ready to work just start the stopwatch.<\/p>\n
