The story gets even more troubling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Only 12% of organizations report full AI integration<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>38% aren&#8217;t using AI at all<\/strong> in their daily workflows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s not a small gap. That\u2019s a canyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Worse, the majority of AI projects don\u2019t survive the pilot phase:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nearly two-thirds of enterprises <strong>can\u2019t get pilots into live use<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Almost half <strong>abandoned AI projects altogether in 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Why? Because people don\u2019t know how to use the tools. The top reasons for failure tell the story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge gaps: 71.7%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical challenges: 70%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of training: 67%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, there\u2019s skepticism. You can\u2019t expect success when teams are being handed powerful tools without context, coaching, or clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s like giving someone who\u2019s only ever used pen and paper a laptop\u2014and expecting them to just know how to navigate the OS, open apps, send emails, and write in Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without training, enablement, or showing them what\u2019s possible, it\u2019s no surprise they struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-most-people-think-ai-is-just-chatgpt\">Most People Think AI is Just ChatGPT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people still think AI is just asking ChatGPT to rephrase an email. <strong>That\u2019s it.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask around, and you\u2019ll hear the same: \u201cIt helps me write emails\u201d or \u201cIt answers my questions.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s table stakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Few realize AI can plan work, optimize resources, reduce <a href=\"https:\/\/clickup.com\/blog\/solving-work-sprawl-clickup\/\">Work Sprawl<\/a>, and even proactively flag bottlenecks\u2014if it\u2019s deeply integrated into where real work lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our research shows just how narrow the current perception is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>35%<\/strong> use AI mainly for basic tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12%<\/strong> use advanced automation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10%<\/strong> use agent-like optimization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Only 9%<\/strong> say their AI actually anticipates and resolves issues on its own<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t a technology problem; it\u2019s an exposure problem. The trust data backs this up. In high-maturity organizations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">57% of business units trust and are ready to use new AI solutions<\/a>. In low-maturity organizations, that number drops to 14%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trust isn&#8217;t built overnight.<\/strong> It\u2019s earned through transparency, enablement, and clear guardrails. When people don\u2019t understand how AI fits into their work or, worse, fear getting it wrong, they hesitate to use it.
